Wagener – Rev. James Charlie Hunnicutt, 79, went to be with the Lord Saturday, March 15, 2008.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mildred T. Hunnicutt, children Roger (Bonnie) Hunnicutt, Carolyn (Tim) Buchner, Stanley (Dell) Hunnicutt, Susan (Brad) Gentry, all of Wagener, Ronald Hunnicutt of Williston, Benny (Gale) Hunnicutt of Gilbert, Brenda (Keith) Hutchenson of Lincoln University, PA, and Cathie (James) Miller of Ward, grandchildren, Jessica Hunnicutt, Tracey Snipes, Stan Hunnicutt, Ginger Hunnicutt, Charity Jaco, Jamey Hunnicutt, Dana Buchner, Dwight Hutchenson, Amanda Hutchenson, Brandon Gentry, Lindsey Gentry, Monica Johnson, Buddy Miller, Caleb Miller, and Joseph Miller, great-grandchildren, Tyler Hunnicutt, Amber Fulmer, Shane Fulmer, Nathan Chandler, Brandon Hunnicutt, Jared Jaco, Kayla Jaco, and Jackson Miller, brothers Hoyt Hunnicutt of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Neil Hunnicutt of Pendleton, and a sister, Fleta Sanders of West Union. He was born in Oconee County, the son of the late James P. and Stella Hunnicutt. He was also predeceased by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Rev. Hunnicutt had almost 60 years of Ministry throughout South Carolina, most recently at Perry First Assembly of God Church. He also enjoyed being a part-time truck driver. Visitation will be Sunday, March 16, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, 163 Main St. South, Wagener, SC (803) 564-5333. The Funeral Service will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Perry First Assembly of God Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Sanford Jones, Rev. Victor Smith, Rev. Robbie Sharpe, and Rev. Virgil Parsons will officiate. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Stan Hunnicutt, Brandon Gentry, Dwight Hutchenson, Buddy Miller, Jamey Hunnicutt, and Caleb Miller.
