Wagener-Salley – Mr. J. L. “Buddy” Hooker, 73, entered into rest Sunday, July 12th at his home.
Mr. Hooker is survived by his wife; Patricia Ann Byrd Hooker, children; Venus Mace of Lexington and Joel Lee Hooker of Salley, step children; Anthony Byrd, Scott Hutchinson, and Bryan Byrd of Salley, 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren, and sister; Louise Tidwell of Seaside, CA.
Mr. Hooker was born in Aiken Co. and was the son of the late Holly and Leslie Hooker. He retired from the U. S. Air Force after 22 years of service. He served during the Vietnam War and was a Master Mason with Hillcrest Lodge #397, A.F.M. of Shaw Air Force Base.
