New Holland – Mr. Bobby Gene Heyward, 62, entered into Friday, September 28, 2007. Mr. Heyward is survived by his wife Rita A. Heyward and brother Billy (Dora) Heyward.
Mr. Heyward was the son of the late Rosie Chalflinch and Henry Milton Heyward, Jr. He was also predeceased by special family friend Beverly Robinson. Mr. Heyward was a member of New Holland Pentecostal Holiness Church where he previously served on the Deacon Board. He retired from Graniteville Co. where he was a machinery technician. Mr. Heyward was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and enjoyed working as a volunteer with the New Holland Fire Department.
The Funeral Service will be Sunday, September 30 at 4 p.m. in the New Holland Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Virgil Parsons is officiating. Mr. Heyward will be placed in the church two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors. The Visitation will be Saturday from 6 to 8 pm at the Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home
