Salley – On December 2, 2016, surrounded by family and many friends, Danny, 62, passed away at his home. At a young age, he followed in the footsteps of his father, Beaufort Hartley, helping to build Hartley’s Heating and Air.
A self-made man devoted to his customers, Danny never hesitated to ensure the needs of those who depended on him were met. Honoring their father, his sons will continue to carry on his legacy of kindness, integrity, honesty and service to the community he loved.
Danny will be greatly missed by his wife of 40 years Susan; his sons Andrew Hartley of Salley, Nicholas (Amanda) Hartley of South Congaree, and Eric (Kelly) Hartley of Salley; sister Brenda (Ronald) Sturkie of Salley; his brothers Mark (Pattie) Hartley and Chris (Tina) Hartley of Salley; as well as his nieces, nephews and in-laws. Most of all he will be missed by the treasures of his heart, his grandchildren, Hunter Hartley, Hannah Hartley, and Matison Hartley.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Monday at the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services. The Funeral Service will be 3 pm Tuesday at Salley Baptist Church with the Revs. Henry Cooper, Phillip Proveaux and John O’Cain officiating. Danny will be placed in the church an hour prior to the service for viewing. Burial will follow at the Salley Oakview Cemetery.
