Wagener – Mrs. Carolyn Tindal Harsey, 69, entered into rest, Monday morning, January 26, 2009.

Mrs. Harsey loved her family greatly. Her husband of 47years, Clarence E. Harsey, children Cyndi Nantz of Swansea, Ronnie (Sandy) Harsey of Lexington, and Adam (Marie) Roscoe of Wagener; grandchildren Guy (Candace) Painter, Michael Roscoe, Bruce (Crystal) Harsey, John Harsey, Catrina Bargiol, Danny Carson, Jacob Adam Roscoe, Carolyna Joye Roscoe and the late Melissa Roscoe; great grandchildren Calob Painter, Kayla Painter, Michael Roscoe, Shawn Roscoe, Joshua Harsey, Nathan Harsey, Justin Harsey and Alice Orta, and sisters Emmie Dale Hutto, Evelyn L. Brown, May C. Jeffcoat, and Peggy J. Tindal all of Wagener.

Mrs. Harsey was born in Orangeburg County, the daughter of the late Woodrow Greely and Thelma Hoover Tindal. She was also predeceased by brothers; Woodrow Tindal, Jr., Calvin Tindal, Lewis Tindal, L. H. Tindal, and Edward Tindal, and sister Jeannie Hartley. She was a member of Berlin Baptist Church and the Sandy Run Order of the Eastern Star.

A Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Harsey will be held Wednesday at 3 pm in the Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, 163 Main St., South, with Pastor Brian Thomason officiating. Burial will follow in the Pelion Oaklawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm also in the Chapel and other times at her son, Adam’s home, 664 Collum Pond Road.
