New Holland – Mr. William “Billy” Gordon Gunter, Sr., 73, departed his earthly life to be with the Lord in his heavenly home, Wednesday, February 18, 2015.
Mr. Gunter was the husband of Benita “Jeanentte” Eidson Gunter for forty-one years; father of William Gordon “Peewee” Gunter, Jr., Tammy (Larry) Ergle and the late Jason Claude Gunter; grandfather of Jason Ergle; brother of Cleo (late Al) Southerland, the late Leona Williams, and an infant brother. Mr. Gunter is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Gunter was a member of New Holland Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was the son of the late McCabe and Cassie Bell Gunter. Mr. Gunter was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish.
A Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at New Holland Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Virgil Parsons officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. in the church sanctuary.
