Lexington - Mrs. Wanda Fay Harmon Gunter, 79, formerly of Salley, went to her heavenly home Sunday January 11, 2015.
Mrs. Gunter was born in Lexington County the daughter of the late Marion W. Jacobs Harmon Hayes and the late Winford Harmon. She was the widow of Boyce Lafayette Gunter, Sr. and also predeceased by brothers Samuel M., Marion H. and Winford Harmon. She was a member of Clinton United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Gunter is survived by her children, Boyce L. (Ho Suk) Gunter, Jr. of Leavenworth, KS, Winford W. (Vanette) Gunter of Columbus, MS, W. Wanette (Eddie) Rish of Leesville, SC and F. Eugene (Dorothy) Gunter of Lexington, SC; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Lewis Harmon of Lexington, SC; sister, Maeola Porth of St. Matthews, SC; and sister-in-law, Frances Harmon of Gaston, SC.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, 163 South Main St., Wagener, S.C. The Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Clinton United Methodist Church with the Reverend Grayson “Butch” Blackwell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
