Pelion – Larry “Punk” Gilbert, 71 of Pelion, SC died Tuesday November 19, 2013 at his sister’s home in Lexington, SC after a lengthy illness.
Larry was born April 3, 1942 to the late Louie W. and Irene Wiedeman Gilbert. He was also preceded in death by his brother Burton and an infant son, Brent.
He was a long distance truck driver and a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. .
Larry is survived by his sons; Keith, Travis and Benjamin and a daughter; Natasha Wallace all of Cleveland, GA., six grandchildren, brothers; Bruce and Robin, sister; Gloria Brawn, several nieces and nephews as well as dear friends; Steve and Kim Nixon.
A Celebration of Larry’s life will be held at a later date at the home of his sister.
