Perry - Mr. Richard Laverne “Pete” Garrick, 71, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, April 15, 2012.
Mr. Pete is survived by his sisters; Mildred Smith and Frances (Roy) Smith, and nieces and nephews.
Mr. Pete was born in Aiken County son of the late Richard Allen and Alma Huckabee Garrick. He was also predeceased by his wife; Louise Rushton Poole Garrick and sister; Shirley G. Mack. Mr. Pete was a member of Dean Swamp Baptist Church and was employed by Salley Manufacturing Co. for 38 years.
Graveside Services will be Wednesday at11:00 a.m. in the Clinton United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Henry Cooper officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Gethsemane Baptist Church at 655 Hammond Cross Rd, St. Matthews, SC 29135.
