West Columbia- Ms. Christine Gantt, 90, entered into rest Tuesday, January 15, 2013.
Ms. Gantt is survived by her sister Georgie G. Jeffcoat of West Columbia and many nieces and nephews.
Ms. Gantt was born July 13, 1922 in Aiken to the late Grover Cleveland and Leonie Gunter Gantt. She was also preceded in death by her sister Rosa Lee G. Shumpert and brothers; Murphy Gantt, Lester Gantt, Dewey Gantt and Mack Gantt. She was a member of Pauline Church of Christ. Ms. Gantt retired from Southern Bell and was a member of the Pioneers.
Funeral Services will be Thursday at 1 pm at Pauline Church of Christ (3036 Fairview Road, Leesville) with Rev. Rick Farwell officiating. Ms. Gantt will be placed in the church an hour prior to the service for viewing. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home.
