Wagener – Brother Sam W. Fulmer, 76, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, September 23, 2010.
Brother Sam is survived by his daughter; Cindy F. Johnson, sisters Frances Gable, and Ailene Privett, and brothers Rev. Burton Fulmer, and G. W. (Betty) Fulmer, sisters-in-law; Bobbie Heaton, Connie Fulmer, and Patsy Fulmer.
Brother Sam was born in Saluda County, the son of the late John Monroe Fulmer, Sr. and Lucille Goff Fulmer. He was also preceded in death by his wife Bertha Black Fulmer, and brothers; Percy Fulmer, J. M. Fulmer, Sammy Fulmer, and Junior Fulmer. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, a veteran of the U. S. Army, and a member of the DAV, Chapter 43.
Visitation is Sunday from 3 to 5pm in the Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will also be in the chapel Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Matthew Yoder, Dr. Thomas W. Kiernan, and brother Travis Crumpton. Burial will be in the Cleve Matthews Family Cemetery with military honors. Memorials may be made to DAV, Chapter 43 at P. O. Box 6346 Aiken, SC 29802.
