Fairview – Janet Lee Fox, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister left us behind on Wednesday, October, 14th 2015. She is survived and will be missed by her husband Larry Fox, her daughter Katie Fox (Wade Ryan), her son Coach William Fox (Erin) and grandson Gideon Fox, her sister Katherine Lee and Janet’s devoted dog Buddy. Other survivors include her sister Rosemary Barber (Pat), her brothers Richard Lee (Harley) and William Lee (Frances) and her nieces and nephews. Janet was born August 2, 1953 in Charleston, SC. Her parents Richie Wilkes Lee and Walker E. Lee and her firstborn infant son Larry Neal Fox, Jr. are deceased. She attended the Columbia area schools and was in the first graduating class from Spring Valley High School. She was an avid reader her entire life. She lived and worked in the Fairview area for decades and made many friends there. She tried to help those in need. She was kind to all the homeless dogs that turned up at her door. She was an impressive force in our lives, and her faith through all her adversity and illness is admirable. She wants that faith and, her children and grandchildren to be her legacy.
A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October, 17, 2015 at Convent Baptist Church. A time of fellowship with the family will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Convent Baptist Church, 787 Convent Church Road, Leesville, SC, 29070.
Remember her words of wisdom, “If you love someone: tell them when you have the chance, every time you see them or talk to them, when they leave us they’re gone forever.” Those who knew and loved her will always remember her.
