Fairview – Mr. James Edward Flake, I, 69, died Saturday, April 17, 2010.
Mr. Flake is survived by his wife Ruth Jeanette Walker Flake, and son James E. Flake, II both of Leesville. His mother-in-law is Mrs. Imogene W. Walker of Atlanta, GA who was a second mother to Mr. James. Daughter; Rosemary (Anthony) Fulmer of Lexington, Son Richard E. (Teresa) Flake of Vonore, TN, Daughters Janet Sue Flake, and Jennifer F. Terry, and their mother Sue Flake all of Madisonville, TN. Mr. James was pre-deceased by daughters Melissa Andrea F. Matheson and Jamie Allison Flake and brothers Gerald (Pat) and Wayne Flake. He is also survived 14 grand-children and 6 great grandchildren, brothers: Harry Phillmore (the late Pam) Flake of Elpaso, TX, and Johnny Flake of Cayce, and sisters: Velma Duke of Wagener, and Sandra Jean Flake of Leesville, and many nieces and nephews. Mr. James was the son of the late Millard Fillmore and Thelma Leona Gunter Flake.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Blizzard Funeral Home at P. O. Box 235 Wagener, SC 29164 to assist with funeral expenses. Services will be private.
