Eden, NC and formerly of Wagener, SC – Mrs. Linda Huffman Cushman, 62, went home to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on the Lord’s Day, March 1, 2015 at Morehead Memorial Hospital.
Funeral Services in Eden, NC will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, where she was a member, with Pastor Bob Trogdon officiating. Visitation will be held for an hour prior to the service. Boone & Cooke, Inc. Funeral Home is assisting the family with the Eden, NC services.
Her wishes were to be buried next to her mother in the family plot at Beaver Creek Baptist Church, 181 Iris Lane, Neeses, SC 29107. The Funeral Service is 3:00 pm, Friday, March 6th, at Beaver Creek Baptist Church with visitation an hour prior to the service and Pastor Gareth Hegler is officiating. Blizzard Funeral Home is assisting the family with the services at Beaver Creek.
Mrs. Cushman was born in Orangeburg County, SC on March 19, 1952, a daughter of the late Paul and Ruby Jackson Huffman. She was a lifelong Cosmetologist and worked at several shops in the Eden, NC and Wagener, SC areas.
Mrs. Cushman is survived by her husband, Billy Cushman of Eden, NC; son, Paul Ray Bodie and wife Melissa of Springfield, SC; step daughters, Denise White and husband Mitch, Darlene Farris and husband Norman, Carrie Cushman; step grandchildren, Robbie White and wife April, Blake Royals, Chelsea White, Jake White; brother, Roy Huffman, Sr. and wife Nancy; sisters, Joyce Oates and husband Jesse, and Bonnie Hunnicutt and husband Roger; Aunts, Geneva Brazell, Dorothy Jackson and Priscilla Jackson, and many nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Billy and son, Paul would like to extend their deepest appreciation to Dr. Hasanaj and the staff of Morehead Hospital for the professional and loving care that was extended to Linda and them during her battle with lung cancer.
