Perry- Mr. Cecil Cooper, 77, affectionately known as “Daddy”. “PaPa”, “Red Truck PaPa”, left his earthly home to be with his Lord and Savior in his heavenly home Tuesday, February 12, 2013.
Mr. Cooper is survived by his wife of 60 years; Susie G. Cooper, children; Rodney (Catherine) Cooper, Linda (Mark) Redd, and Terry (Ray) Bolen, grandchildren; Cecil Rodney “Ron” Cooper, Jr., Mandy Leigh Cooper, James Lee Rutland, Rusty (Missie) Redd, Scottie (Brandy) Redd, Brodie (Kolby) Redd, Cody (Katherine) Redd, and Raymond E. Bolen, Jr., great grandchildren; Dalton Blake Cooper, Danny Rutland, Justin Rutland, Brandon Rutland, Jesse Redd, Aidan Redd, Toby Redd, Alexis Redd, Walker Bolen, and Jolie Bolen, sisters; Dorothy (Cecil “Pete”) Johnson, Hazel (David) Poole, Geneva (David) Lewis and brother; Charlie (Sarah) Cooper.
Mr. Cooper was the son of the late Jack and Nellie Cooper. He was also preceded in death by his great grandchild Morgan Seth Cooper, sister; Effie Lorraine Cooper, and brothers; Jack Raford Cooper and Donald Cooper.
Mr. Cooper was a member of Perry First Assembly of God Church where he was a Sunday School Teacher. He was the former owner of Merchandise Mart in Clearwater. Mr. Cooper had several special brothers in Christ; Jerry Goldman, Johnny Wise, and Rev. Carroll Hurley.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Wagener Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Friday at 3 pm in the Perry First Assembly of God Church in Perry, SC with Pastors Roger Hunnicutt, Carroll Hurley and Thomas Doolittle officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Robert Felder, Steve Shumpert, Jarrod Goldman, Troy Wooten, Robert Johnson, and Charlie Cooper. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Goldman, Johnny Wise, and Randy Bland.
