Mr. Colvin, from Dubach Louisiana, was the loving husband for 52 years to Margie Ann Fallaw Colvin. He is also survived by his children: Billie Ann C.(Jim) Begley of Kingsport, TN, Terry L. He was the son of the late Johnnie and Willie Bell Hunt Colvin. He was predeceased in death by a brother Kenneth Lamar Colvin.

Billy graduated from Louisiana Tech and the University of South Carolina. He was a proud veteran of the U. S. Army and loved his country deeply. A devout Christian, he was a member of First Baptist Church of Wagener, having served several years as a Sunday School Teacher and Deacon. He also served as a lay preacher in several area churches. He was a Past Master of the Cedar Lodge 184 in Wagener. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and lover of sports in general, but his first love and above all others was baseball. Nothing brightened his day more than to see one of the players/students he once coached or taught. He was a retired educator and administrator with over 30 years of service.

A Celebration of Life service will be Sunday at 4 pm at First Baptist Church Wagener, 162 Main Street South, Wagener.  Visitation with family will follow the service.

Memorials may be made to Cedar Lodge 184 P.O. Box 9 Wagener, SC 29164 or the charity of your choice.
