New Holland – Mr. Robert Coleman, 67, entered into rest Thursday December 17, 2015.
Robert was the husband of Dora Mae Miller Coleman for 44 years. He was the father of Sonya (Keith) Yon, Robbie (Marlana) Coleman, and Aimee (Paige) Kirkland and grandfather of A1C Joshua Yon, USAF, Jacob Yon, Rachel Yon, Patrick Coleman, Caleb Coleman, Madison Coleman, Hunter Kirkland and Kamrin Kirkland. Robert was the son of the late J. D. and Julia Cook Coleman. He was the brother of Betty (late David) Eidson, Frances (Johnny) Wise, James (Gloria) Coleman, Edna (Lanelle) Clark, Linda (Buddy) Wessinger, Tina (Tim) Bevell, and Sandy (Kevin) Waters all of New Holland.
Robert worked with SCE&G for 25 years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army Reserve and was a member of Earle Church of God.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Sunday in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, 163 Main Street South, Wagener, SC 29164. The Funeral Service will be held 2 pm Monday at Earle Church of God with Pastor Clyde Hardin officiating. Robert will be placed in the church one hour prior to service for viewing.
