Wagener – Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother and now “Angel”. Mrs. Orine Gleaton Casey, 94, passed into her eternal rest Friday, April 15, 2016 at 7:38 pm surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Orine was born July 24, 1921 to Mike and Crystabelle Fogle Gleaton. She was the third of eleven children. Mrs. Orine married Merrill R. Batchelor in 1938. They had two sons Eugene (Margaret) and Mike (JoAnn). Mr. Batchelor served in the U. S. Navy, and was lost at sea in 1945. Mrs. Orine met and married Glen B. Casey in 1947. They had a son Ray (Vernelle) and a daughter Debbie (Frankie Farr). Mr. Casey passed away November 2003. She was the proud Grandmother of 9, Great Grandmother of 15 and Great Great Grandmother of 3.
Mrs. Orine was well known for her excellent cooking! She was a talented seamstress. Her favorite pass time was fishing – She could hang with the best.
Mrs. Orine was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Wagener for many years, serving her Sunday School Class, the bereavement and social committees for many years. She was also Action Group Leader for the WMU.
Mrs. Orine served her Lord, her family and the community with love. She will be missed by all who loved her. Rest in peace sweet soul.
Visitation will be from 2:30 to 3:30 pm Monday at the First Baptist Church of Wagener. A Service to Celebrate the life of Mrs. Orine will be held at4 pm Monday also in the church sanctuary. Interment will follow in the Salley Oak View Cemetery.
