Salley — Mrs. Addie Corbett Brown, 92, entered into rest Friday, June 8, 2012 at her home.
Mrs. Brown is survived by her children; James Earl Brown and Mavis of Salley, O’Shield Brown, Jr. and Emily of Wagener, Gloria Jean Smith and Jon of Salley, Mack Brown and Ruby of South Congaree, Judy Barr and Wayne of Springfield, Winston Brown of Salley, and Carol Millwood and Hal of Wagener, 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, and sister Kitty C. Widener and Marvin of Elloree.
Mrs. Brown was the daughter of the late Mike Dempsey Corbett and Kitty Barr Corbett Yon. She was married to the late O’Shield Brown, Sr. and was also preceded in death by her son M. T. Brown, sisters Ida C. Brown and Eva C. Cooper, and brother Baker Corbett. Mrs. Brown was a faithful member of Salley Baptist Church.
Visitation with the family will be at the Salley Baptist Church on Saturday from 6 – 8 pm. The Funeral Service will be Sunday at 4 pm also in the Salley Baptist Church with the Revs. Phillip Proveaux and Henry Cooper officiating. Interment will follow in the Salley Oakview Cemetery.
