Orangeburg – Mr. Jones William “Bill” Bishop, 65, entered into rest at home Tuesday, September 18, 2012.
Mr. Bishop was the loving husband of Hazel Chavis Bishop for thirty - seven years, father of William Heath Bishop of Sevierville, TN, Natalie Hope Bishop of Robbinsville, NC, Barbara Renee Bishop and Melissa Bishop of GA, Victoria Nicole Bishop of Roebuck, Laura Ann B. Adicks and Rodney Hayden Bishop of Orangeburg, grandfather and great grandfather of several, brother of George Bishop, Linda B. Haltiwanger, Jimmy Bishop, Glenn Bishop, and Joey Bishop.
Mr. Bishop was born in Orangeburg County, the son of the late James William and Pearl Stephens Bishop. He was also preceded in death by his sister Peggy B. Tuten. Mr. Bishop was of the Baptist Faith. He was a veteran of the
U. S. Marines.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 pm in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home, 163 Main St. South, Wagener. The Funeral Service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the also in the chapel. Burial will be in the Public Worship of God Cemetery.
