Ridge Spring – Mr. Robert Floyd Akin, 71, joined our Heavenly Father on Thursday, February 4, 2016.
Mr. Akin is survived by his sister Cherry A. McCall and brother Kenneth L. (Janice) Akin, and nieces, Lisa McCall-Toole and Angela L. McCall.
Mr. Akin was born in Florida, the son of the late Argus Lewey and Myrtice Elizabeth Richter Akin. He moved to Aiken as a child and lived as a life-long resident of Aiken County. Mr. Akin was a retired Waffle House cook. He will be missed by many.
A Service to Celebrate Mr. Akin’s life will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016, at 1:00 pm in the Wagener Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. John’s United Methodist Church (“Salkehatchie” - Sand River Camp) at 104 Newberry St. NW, Aiken, SC 29801
